April 27th...2011
People were just beginning to eat lunch...
Going shopping...
Children playing...some at home and some were at school...
You could hear laughter that morning...
But, around 7:00 am...things began to change for some...
Announcements were being made to have an escape plan for you, your children and your pets...Yes, we love our pets too...
I was asleep due to the fact that I had to work the night before...but this loud, angry noise kept sounding off...til finally I woke up and came out of my bedroom to see my cousin and his family at our house with backpacks and the boys had their football helmets to protect their heads...Family was together and watching...
The television was showing massive storms everywhere in the state...then the weather cam in Ttown...Tuscaloosa...began to show us the MONSTER...
All we could say was Oh God!!! Oh God!!! Oh God!!!
When they showed this the Tornado was so HUGE...the weather cam didn't pick all of it up...
It is said that it was 2 miles wide...and winds up to 180 miles per hour...Sunami in the sky...that was my thought...
In the afternoon hours, the town in which I live began to grow dark...It was headed right for us...All I could do was pray...The winds were so horrible...hail big as baseballs...
It hit!!! It hit!!! Where!!! In concord!!! Oh God please keep your hand on my grandson Hunter and his Dad and other grandparents...Praise God!!! They were spared...As the ones of us here were embracing each other and telling each other that we Loved Them!!! The wind stopped, and we saw it turn and go toward Cordova...In which that town has been tore up...
Hackleburg..Town is GONE!!! Phil Campbell destroyed...Cullman...the town is gone...Tuscaloosa...Nothing there but people trying to find a piece of anything that they can find to say..."Hey, I found this..." And, the tears...the emotions of the great people of Alabama...NUMB!!!
The ones of us that was spared from this devastation...we are NUMB too...We go out and help in anyway that we can...but while helping...when you find a body and all you can think of is...this is someone's child...Mother, Sister, Brother, Dad, Uncle, Grandparent...best friend...and you hear their stories...Everyone in this state has come together in a way that we should always be...
People's things have been found as far as Georgia...amazing!!! Then I found out that many of my friends are gone...or not found...Then today...Monday, the State of Alabama is in for Strong Line of Thunderstorms today...
There are so many other things that I could put in this post...but due to the respect of some of my readers having lost things, people, FAITH...God will help us to restore...

Keeping The Main Thing Main
After reading in Acts this morning I was given some words from the Holy Ghost and I am gonna share with you...Hope that it is a blessing...
The scripture is Acts 1:1-8 "The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began to do and teach. Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days; and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. And being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that which the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
The text records the last meeting with Jesus and his disciples while He was on earth...He was preparing to ascend back to Heaven to be at His Father's right side...He commands and commissions them to reach the world with the message...Focus on your ministry...He reminded them to KEEP THE MAIN THING MAIN!!!
The disciples of course wanted to ask questions about future things...Here the Lord is conducting the first mission conference and they were trying to turn it into a prophecy council...Jesus firmly tells them..."times and seasons" is none of your concern...Their responsibility was to be faithful unto Him until His return...
Friends, nothing has changed that today either...Our duty in not to get caught up in future events, theological disputes, or minding someone else's business...Our job is to get the Word of God to men and women, children everywhere...
2 Corinthians 5:20 tells us that we are His ambassadors on earth...While, we will never be without a job and the pay is outta this world...
How do we reach them??? First we have to love the Lord our God with ALL our heart...He is to be the sole focus when sharing the Word with others...Share the message of His LOVE!!!
In the day and time we are living, people hungry, living in poverty, living in fear, but Jesus is the Living Bread...to break off and share with a righteous starved people...
You need the right method to do this...
God is calling His people to tell them to quit wandering, forty years was enough...grow up and get off the milk and chew up the steak...Start being Men aand Women of God...we may get afraid in this messed up economy, but by faith the Holy Ghost will help us in this world...Nothing can harm you in the hands of God...Oh, you may be hated, killed, laughed at...all these happened to Jesus too...but no man or weapon can harm your soul...
When witnessing have the right mindset also...Anywhere you find a sinner, that is the time to share the Gospel...sometimes by just not saying anything and let the God in you shine out, so that they will want what keeps you full of joy....Amen!!!
We may never go to the uttermost parts of the earth...but we do go to the grocery store, see our families, friends and neighbors...BE A WITNESS SO THEY WILL KNOW YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN AND ARE CHRISTLIKE...
The right mindset would be to have the mind of Christ.
Keep The Main Thing Main...How important is witnessing?
What are you willing to change in your life so that you can be more effective as a witness? What are you willing to deal with so that the power of the Holy Ghost can be seen resting upon you???
Answer this to yourself---When is the last time you had a heart to heart with someone about their soul???
As we enter the world daily...Remember...KEEP THE MAIN THING MAIN!!!

THE VALLEY OF ACHOR
Topic: Sin---The Spiritual Bumps
Hosea 2:2-15---Please read these scriptures from the KJV...
By now most people that know me, know that my mind can come up with some weird things to think about...As I read the above scripture passage...LOL...I went back in time to the first flat that I had...
The tire was flat...as flat as could be...exposing the metal of the steel-belted radial...When I took the tire to have it repaired, I noticed the other tires were ok...No sign of any wearing down...I asked this question...How can that be that only this one tire, bought with the other three is so worn and the others aren't???The dealer explained that a nail had stuck in the rubber and transferred rust to the steel belts, weakening the interior of the tire...Just a nail, a little rust and blap, blap, blap caused the belt and thread to separate...
And, with that thought...I began to think of the Valley of Achor...
Bumps---spiritual ones can and will develope in your walk with Christ...Unconfessed sin in the heart is like the rust that destroyed my tire...At first nothing seems to be wrong, and may get by with no consequences...but, your love for God will dwindle...Your interest in God's word will slack up...You will eventually stop talking to your Father as much...life declines and church becomes unimportant...Your spiritual life comes to a bumping halt...blap, blap, blap...
Hosea reminds us of the dangers of unconfessed sin, and for the hope of repentance...
Achor means Valley of Turmoil, Misforutune and Trouble...I don't think I want to live in that Valley...
Place of Despair---Achan stole priceless treasure and a robe from Babylon and hid them in his tent...He stole from God...Will a man rob God??? Yes some do...
Stealing from God in the camp of His people is a serious NO_NO!!!Have we ever stole from God???The answer my friend is YES!!! ouch...that hurts, but it is true...We have done this by stealing time from Him...Having nothing to offer Him...finding excuses to not do what is asked of us to do for the Glory to God...I could go on and on with many ways we have stolen from God...Look folks, we are stewards and we must not neglect the Word of God...His Word is our text message straight from Heaven, written by men under the influence of the Holy of Holies...God Himself took time to record His Word for our learning on how to worship, honor, trust and love Him...not to steal His Word for our own interpretations, but to rightly divide It and really live by It...You will not progress with sin in the camp ...It should be confessed and left in the sea of forgetfulness...We will not see Heaven, or rather we will not go to Heaven with an Achan in the house...{heart}...
In some places they have so called strangler weed...It takes over like twisted vines and chokes up the beautiful things in its path, takes over and everything rots from the inside out...Dead...and Dead stinks...What this fig does to trees, sin does to a person...when the devil comes whispering...turn off your spiritual hearing aids and tune in to The Word of God...We cannot be blind to satan...if we turn our heads the other way to sin, then we are sinning too...Stand up to it, in the name of Jesus...Don't waste time on it...Nip it...Sin in the camp will rub off...everything grows negative...God wants lively stones...
Read Joshua 7:24---KJV---Sin was removed from the camp and put to death, only because it was confessed when caught...Don't be sorry just because your caught...be sorry because you know that you have sinned, that you have thought in your mind that you would hide it in your tent and know one would find out, that you would play around with stolen things, things that God forbids you to hold on too, and eventually you would let it go, be godly sorrowful that you allowed the enemy to trick you this way...Clean out the entire house....Sister Mary Shelton sang a song at Ladies Retreat about the hidden room in her heart that the person had under lock and key...but Jesus finally got the message across to open it up and clean it out...and I had to clean out that room...I want God to come at any time and my rooms be clean...nothing is hid from Him anyway...some of us even have stolen things that we hide from ourself...Create in me O God a clean heart...
Door of Hope---Today, we don't have to be stoned or put to death from sinning, but rather be made pure by His precious blood...perfect by the purifier...which is the Holy Ghost...When dealt with, confessed and true repentance, guess what???You will grow...Praise God!!!In His likeness...Don't that sound GOOD!!!
When you are hiding things...do you ever notice that your body starts acting sick...you just got to get to the doctor...and then your mis diagnosed...All the time, you know what is making you sick...and the doctor wants to put you on nerve medication or zonk you out with pain medication...when all along a good ole fashion trip to the altar and get a spritual healing from God will make you 150% better...
HIS WORD IS THE CURE!!! Go and tell the devil that you have hid all the sin you are gonna hide...that you have decided that serving God is the only way to keep you out of Hell...and it is the only way to keep you well enough to do what you were born to do to begin with...and that is To Serve God!!!
Turn to the Door of Hope, turn loose of weights and sins...OHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!Weights...Yes!!!If the burden you carry, not the sin, but the burden...then give it to the Maker...He already said He would carry it...
When you give everything to Him...then tell yourself..."Self, get up out of this Valley, Open the Door of Hope and LIVE!!!
Your choice---The Valley of Achor===Despair
or The Door of Hope===ETERNAL LIFE!!!

Friendship
I was asked recently to give someone the definition of..."Friend..."
My answer was, someone who is trustworthy, honest, sincere, confidant, who is understanding, and considerate...someone who is always there even when you haven't been in touch with each other in some time...
Well, when I got home, I had to call the person and say, "But, a true friend will not wait too long before they contact you..." Reason, I began to think about God...how He went out searching for Adam because He hadn't heard from him in a while...
God loves us and wants us to talk to Him, daily...He misses us when we do not...Brings a smile to my face to know that God loves me like that...
I had a friend once, she passed away suddenly and the pain that my heart felt...because I never talked to her about God...my loss...
What is True Friendship According to the Bible??? Jesus Christ is the perfect example...No other man, woman or person has ever laid down their life for me, but Him...
Just as Jonathan was a friend to David, in spite of the fact that his father wanted to kill him...he still befriended him...
The devil wants us all dead spiritually by the lies he tells us...He IS NOT YOU FRIEND...
GOD IS THE FRIEND!!!
He is your TRUE FRIEND...
Want a Friend...then show yourself friendly, with the Spirit of Christ....

Blessed Are The Peacemakers...
Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."
Our Creator is the God of Peace...The Heavenly Father sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to earth, in order to reconcile man to God...
Despite all the ongoing conflict today, still Jesus Christ can and does bring peace to ones hearts and minds...Perfect Peace...that is the kind that cast out fear...The devil would love to fear us down...but, fear breeds doubt and doubt breeds unbelief...I had rather have the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding...Men, in themselves cannot and never will be able to understand this kind of peace, or even how we can be at peace with our enemies...but in the Spirit, through the working of the Holy Ghost...we can see and understand how God wants us to be the peacemaker...
He will even call us His children...Oh what a wonderful thought...
Who shall separate us from the Love of God??? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril or sword??? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors...PEACEMAKER...trust in God...He will bring us through...AMEN!!!
The job of a peacemaker...to testify about the One who brings such peace...and to be forgiving...not a grudge holder...Forgive until seventy times seven...A DAY!!!
A spirit of peace will draw your neighbors out to see just what you have...and they will see that it indeed is
THE SPIRIT OF GOD...THEY WILL SEE THAT YOU ARE HIS SON OR DAUGHTER...
