Matthew 5:5

"Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth..."   And usually everyone that writes or talks on this subject of being meek will give you a definition...   Meek---appropriately humble, not proud, or refractory...   Weak---lacking the streng...th to sustain...   Quite a difference don't you think...   Many think that if you show signs of meekness that you have a weak side...not so to the child of God...Meek---being humble enough to prefer you brother or sister in the Lord...Not so ready to argue with them over things that are gonna rust and decay anyway...but get in line with the word and get the work done---together...Amen!!!   Who are the Meek???   Well, Paul is one I thought of...Strong in position with the Sanhedran Council...yet he left it all to follow God and do His work...   Abraham...Father of the Faithful...he and Lots herdsmen began arguing over water and grass...now God had already told Abraham as far as his eye could see...it was promised to him by God...Wow!!! He could've used that number...but humbly...he let Lot choose first that is godly character...that is meek...Genesis 13:8-11   Last but not least---Jesus Christ the Son of God, the second in the triune of the Godhead, The Word made flesh...came from Heaven to the lowly state...was stripped on Golgotha and they gambled for His robe...shed His precious blood so that not only you and I, but many could go free...but friend if it had only been for one, He would have done this...He had to become meek...submissive to the Father... That made a way for us also to do the same...   Seek to be Meek not WEAK...   Every child of God should be gentle, loving, patient, not easy to anger, and considerate...When we are made meek we are more open to God's guidance, His discipline, His love...His journey for us to win others to Christ...to show them that the world does not love them...God loves them...   Why inherit the earth???  When we serve God...it is all ours anyway...for "Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world..."  That is a promise...   God BlessSee More
